Do I need to rent a car in Houston?
Almost certainly, yes. Houston is famous for its sprawling layout and massive highways. Unless you are staying in Downtown and never leaving the immediate area, a car is highly recommended.
Is Downtown Houston dead at night?
Parts of it used to be, but the areas around Main Street and the sports stadiums are now quite lively in the evenings. However, for a true neighborhood nightlife feel, head to Montrose or The Heights.
Where should I stay if I have an early flight?
Houston has two major airports. IAH (Bush Intercontinental) is far north, and HOU (Hobby) is south. Make sure you check which airport you are flying out of before booking an airport hotel.
How far is NASA from Downtown Houston?
Space Center Houston is located in Clear Lake, about 45 minutes to an hour drive south of Downtown, depending heavily on traffic. Plan accordingly.
